Field notes from real visits keep this guide honest. If the official site says the tower is open and you got there to find it scaffolded, we want that. If the tide window was shorter than the table said, we want that too. Entries are moderated weekly — yours won't show up immediately.
What a good entry looks like
"Drove out on a Wednesday in March. Tower scaffolded for the restoration — no interior access. Fog kept lifting and resettling in 25-minute cycles. Hostel staff said the next public event is in May."
"Tide tables said the window opened at 10:42am. We were there at 10:15 and the causeway was still ankle-deep. Bring a windbreaker even in July."
